位于香格里拉县城东北方，距县城35公里。海拔3705米，积水面积15平方公里。属都岗湖四面环山，年平均气温35C，降雨量5800毫米，雨季多在6-10月份。 　
全县最大的高原湖泊之一的属都岗湖，湖水清澈透亮，湖中盛产“属都裂腹鱼”，鱼身金黄，腹部有一条裂纹，鱼肉细腻鲜美。湖上还栖息着大量的野鸭、黄鸭等飞禽。 　
属都岗湖四周青山郁郁，原始森林遮天蔽日。湖东面是成片的白桦林，秋天一片金黄。山中云杉、冷杉高大精壮，直指云宵，树冠浓绿繁密，可遮风避雨。林中栖息着麝、熊、藏马鸡、猞猁等多种珍禽异兽。

行知提示：到属都岗湖旅游交通十分方便，有公路直达湖畔，游人从中甸县城出发，要一天往返。属都岗湖东南面就是著名的景点碧塔海，两地相距十余公里。
