[转帖]刘小菁老师新加坡游记（二） 七月十一日 在新加坡的第七天 晴转雨转晴今天开始第二周第一天上课了，全天上课的时间还是挺紧张的。上午由Oliver Seet 给我们讲的Grammar Proficiency, 下午还是Lawrence Zhang带给我们的Reading Methodology.Oliver Seet was an old man and he was very kind. He was more than seventy years old. He first introduced himself and told us his name, address, telephone number and e-mail. Then he asked us introduce ourselves. In this way, we knew more about each other.
In today’s lesson, he taught us how to know two kinds of vocabulary. One is content word and the other is structural word. Structural word means grammar. That was the first time we knew grammar. It was fresh for me. In the afternoon, Lawrence Zhang told us what schema was and how to teach schema? He just gave us two examples. I think it was useful for me and I like his class.
12th July, the eighth day, sunny & rainy
Today we also have a whole-day lesson. In the morning (9:30---11:30), Oliver Seet taught us grammar. In the afternoon (12:30---3:30), Alan Tea taught us Reading Proficiency. He was a young man.
Today Oliver Seet talked about content words. In the afternoon, Alan Tea wanted to know our level. So he interviewed us one by one. I like his style.
After class, we had a big dinner. Mr. Wei Jianfei joined us. We ate the hot pot (编者注：罐闷土豆牛（或羊）肉放在紧紧盖住的罐子里合炖的羊肉或牛肉与马铃薯). It was yummy and everyone was full. After dinner, Mr. Wei Jianfei cleaned the kitchen very well. We didn’t go swimming, because of the raining. So much for today 谁谓河广，一苇可航。
